Sunday 12th July saw the people
of Yetholm open their gardens to visitors - the 25th such event
that we have taken part in the 'Scotland's Garden's' Open Day Scheme.
Attractions included the ever popular music group in organiser Fraser
Nimmo's garden, local wood turning at Almond Cottage, a bric-a-brac
stall, home baking & produce, an excellent plant stall supported
by Woodside and a propagation workshop in Peter Boyds garden.
£640 was raised from entrance fees, 119 cream teas were sold
making £238, another £307 was raised from stalls and
donations ... making a grand total of £1,185 - 40% of which
went to the Riding for the Disabled Association - Borders Group,
the net remaining to SG Beneficiaries.
Many thanks to all those whose time and effort contributed to making
this year's Yetholm Gardens Open Day another success.
